Meet the Doctor

Dr. Spencer Hall, DPT

Two kinds of treatment, one doctor. By day Spencer helps people move better. By night he's at the bench, building chains you can feel the weight of.

The story

Dr. Spencer Hall spent years learning how the human body moves: how a collarbone carries weight, how a wrist turns, how a knuckle swells after a long day. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, his job is helping people feel strong in their own bodies again.

Then he started building chains.

Dr. Chains is what happens when a clinician's hands pick up jeweler's tools. Every Cuban link, flat curb, figaro and cable chain is cut, linked, soldered and finished by Spencer himself, then fitted with the same attention he gives a patient: the right weight for your frame, the right length for your neckline, a clasp you can work with one hand.

He was raised on Southern hip-hop: slabs, candy paint, gold fronts and chains that hit the light from across the room. He lives and works on the West Coast. Dr. Chains sits between the two: Southern swagger, West Coast craft.
